10 Principles of Operation of the Astri Group

Human rights

1. Principle: Companies should support and respect internationally recognized human rights protection regulations.
The Tenant is obliged to adhere to the principles of internationally recognized human rights protection and to develop a human rights protection policy within their company. In addition to observing and upholding human rights, the Tenant contributes to the protection of human rights through social investments, charitable activities, expressing opinions in public debates that support human rights, and similar actions. Special attention is given to the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, including women, children, people with disabilities, indigenous peoples, migrant workers, and the elderly.

2. Principle: To ensure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
The Tenant undertakes to ensure that they do not participate in human rights violations. This means, among other things, that the Tenant does not associate with or engage with companies, governments, individuals, or groups whose activities violate human rights. The Tenant has established case management and due diligence processes that enable the identification and prevention of human rights violations that the Tenant could be associated with through their products, activities, or services.

Workforce

Principle 3: Companies should uphold the effective recognition of the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
Tenants undertake to respect freedom of association and the rights to collective bargaining and collective action. Freedom of association means respecting the right of all employers and employees to freely and voluntarily establish and join groups to protect their occupational interests.

Principle 4: Eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labor.
The tenant undertakes to eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labor in their company. Forced labor is any work or service performed by a person under the threat of penalty and which the person has not voluntarily chosen. Employees must have the opportunity to leave work on their own initiative according to agreed rules.

Principle 5: Prohibit the use of child labor.
The tenant undertakes to prohibit the use of child labor and to support its elimination. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), child labor is the employment of persons under the age of 15.

Principle 6: Eliminate any discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
The tenant undertakes to support the elimination of discrimination in employment relationships. Discrimination at work means unequal or less favorable treatment based on characteristics not related to the performance of work duties (e.g., race, gender, religion, age, disability).

Environment

Principle 7: Companies must take a proactive approach to solving environmental problems.
The tenant should focus on preventing damage rather than remedying it later, and establish systems for risk assessment and risk management.

Principle 8: Take initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
The tenant must ensure that their activities do not harm the environment, and develop sustainability goals and indicators.

Principle 9: Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
These technologies should protect the environment, be less polluting, conserve resources, and recycle more waste.

Anti-corruption

10. Principle: Tenants must fight against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery.

The tenant undertakes to combat all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery. The tenant is obliged to introduce anti-corruption policies and programs within their organization and proactively develop policies and specific programs to address corruption internally and within their associated supply chain. Corruption can take many different forms, ranging from minor influence to bribery. Corruption does not necessarily mean only financial gain; it can also involve non-financial advantages.
